A new Ecological Education Center is being built on the outskirts of Sosnowiec. It will soon become the most modern and recognizable point on the city map. This is one of the largest investments of this type currently being implemented in southern Poland. The reconstruction of the Exotarium should be completed in spring 2023, but it is already visible at what advanced stage the construction works are.

The Serwal company based in Krakow is responsible for making the joinery. The company specializes in aluminum production. The vast majority of structures designed in the facility will be based on Aluron systems.

The basis for creating the beautiful inclined façade of the Exotarium was the AF 50 system in column-to-pole technology. A wide range of angle connections available in this solution allows, among others: for a tight transition into the roof, which played a key role in this project. The AF 50W tilting windows are built into the façade. Thanks to their structure, they look like permanent quarters, while ensuring the possibility of opening and ventilation.

The roof skylights and windows, which are responsible for ensuring proper ventilation, were made by Serwal based on the Aluron AF 50R system. The distinguishing feature of this solution is its extraordinary tightness, which is ensured by the proprietary overlay glazing system. Moreover, especially for the needs of this project, the shell seals of the skylight column were made entirely as one section. In the case of a smaller skylight, its length is 16 m, and in the case of a larger one, it is as much as 36 m. As a standard, system providers offer seals in wholesale packages. Aluron is the only manufacturer of aluminum systems in Poland that can provide seals of any length. They are produced by Aluron at the production plant in Zawiercie.

The Serwal company will produce non-thermally insulated internal structures based on the ACS 50 system. It allows the construction of partition walls with and without posts, including the possibility of central glazing.
