City Port – Building C
Budynek C (Silos zbożowy) to jeden z trzech obiektów wchodzących w skład inwestycji City Port zlokalizowanej w miejscu starego portu rzecznego we Wrocławiu. Żelbetowy silos zbożowy to jedyny z budynków City Portu nieobjęty ochroną konserwatorską, ale mimo to uwzględniony w projekcie rewitalizacji.
The western part containing grain silos was rebuilt, while the eastern part with the existing network of columns and ceilings was preserved. The building – the only one in the complex – gained a contemporary architectural shape. The aluminum joinery used in the building harmonizes beautifully with the façade finished in the fashionable color of corten steel.
The highest facade structure in the building reaches approx. 40 m. Single glass panes with an area of 5 square meters were used in the project. In opaque areas, frosted glass was used instead of enamel. The cladding panels were attached to the facade pressure strips to achieve the effect of an invisible masking strip. The external structures are painted in RAL 7016 MAT, and the internal ones in RAL 1013 MAT.
