Until recently, fire doors were only required to provide tightness and fire insulation for an appropriate period of time in the event of a fire. However, these times have changed and although the EI class will always be the most important feature, investors are increasingly paying attention to their aesthetics, functionality and ease of construction.

For this reason, Aluron has introduced a new solution to its portfolio. We have created a warm AS 75EI fire door system that meets all the above requirements. On its basis, it is possible to make internal and external structures with fire resistance class EI30 and EI60. At the same time, the system allows for thermal insulation at the U levelw from 1,2 W/m2K.

Revolutionary dust-free Perliterm fire retardant inserts

Most system providers to carry out their fire protection structures. uses cold gypsum inserts, the processing of which causes high pollution in production halls. Aluron technologists were looking for a material that would eliminate this problem while ensuring the same or even better level of fire resistance. Guided by these premises, they created Perliterm cartridges, patented by the company. They are made of perlite - a volcanic rock formed as a result of the hydration of cooling lava. The Aluron fire protection system is equipped with warm and crack-resistant inserts that have never been found on the market before. They not only constitute an excellent barrier to fire, but also have cooling properties. Moreover, they are lighter than plaster, which translates into lower weight of the entire structure. The fire-retardant filling was placed in a plastic casing. In this way, Aluron once and for all eliminated the problem of dusting of inserts, which all contractors had previously struggled with during prefabrication. Moreover, the shape of Perliterm inserts corresponds to the profile chambers, which significantly improves the production process.

Full optimization

There is no need to convince anyone that design is extremely important nowadays. For this reason, when creating the fire protection system, Aluron designers focused on functional and aesthetic solutions used in the AS 75 window and door system, which is popular on the market. The systems use the same shapes and accessories, which provides customers with full optimization of the profiles used. Regardless of whether the project requires fire resistance of the partition in the EI30 or EI60 class, manufacturers can use the same profiles. Longer tightness and fire insulation (EI60 class) are provided by additional Perliterm inserts and a wider intumescent seal.

Easy assembly

The use of dust-free Perliterm inserts is not the only convenience that Aluron designers have planned for their customers. They designed and, in cooperation with the company's technologists, implemented innovative fire-fighting intumescent tapes that are easily attached to thermal breaks. The method of their installation eliminates the problem of peeling off the tapes, which manufacturers struggle with. During a fire hazard, intumescent seals fill the working space. They also do not blow out under the influence of the pressure difference, as is the case with generally available commercial solutions. Partitions based on the AS 75EI system can be equipped with double-glazed units. They are glazed on one side, as in the case of typical door structures, and the clip is mounted on the inside. To make the glazing process even easier for contractors, the system uses adjustable angle brackets for mounting glass packages of various thicknesses.
