Aluron AS 75OW is a system of outward-opening aluminum windows, designed completely differently from other solutions of this type available on the market.

Instead of adapting the existing continental system, ALURON listened carefully to feedback from UK customers and designed the AS 75OW system exactly as a British system designer would have done. The result is a truly “English” system, not just an export product in British sizes.

Why do the English prefer outward-opening windows?

AS 75OW is suited to the real climatic conditions of the United Kingdom and countries with harsh weather, such as Norway, Iceland, Sweden, and Finland. High wind resistance, watertightness, and air permeability have been confirmed by tests conducted at an English research institute and at ITB. The latter were carried out due to the use of outward-opening windows in Poland as smoke extraction structures.

In the British Isles, windows of this type are standard. An outward-opening sash saves space in small rooms. It does not interfere with curtains or furniture, and in strong winds, the air pressure presses the sash against the frame, improving the seal. AS 75OW is based on this logic. Aluron's “British” solution, compatible with insulated window sill profiles, is both practical and easy to install.

Parameters for demanding investors

With a frame depth of 75 mm, the system offers high structural performance and supports a wide range of configurations, including tilt, turn, and fixed windows. It allows for glazing in the range of 16-66 mm, achieves excellent thermal insulation, and offers several variants tailored to the energy requirements of the building.

Slim profiles, the possibility of painting in any RAL color, and compatibility with other Aluron systems (common seals, fasteners, consistent aesthetics) facilitate the work of manufacturers and allow for a uniform appearance of the entire investment. The AS 75OW system is therefore the ideal choice for both residential and commercial projects.

The AS 75OW is proof of our ongoing commitment to the UK market. Not only does it meet local standards for performance and safety, but it also provides the aesthetic appeal, reliability, and ease of production that our trading partners expect.

PVC groove sash – a detail that reveals its “English DNA”

AS 75OW window sashes are available in two design variants. The first is equipped with a groove for ALU fittings, and the second with a groove for PVC fittings. The fact that the system has “English DNA” is particularly evident in the second variant, which is the most popular way of opening windows in England. The sash profile is equipped with:

  • separate spaces for mounting scissor hinges,
  • another, separate spaces for perimeter fittings.

This design allows for the use of a handle with a short, functional, and cheaper spindle, while at the same time providing true perimeter fitting around the entire window. This is a typically British, practical approach. In a single groove system, where both the scissors and the fittings are installed, there is a conflict between the elements. Full perimeter locking becomes practically impossible. Aluron has deliberately eliminated this problem.

AS 75OW is not only advanced technology, but also an elegant design that fits in with current architectural trends. Minimalist lines and slim profiles make the system a perfect match for both classic and modern buildings.
