A fire in a public building is a scenario no investor can ignore. Protecting people and property involves more than just marking escape routes and installing fire hydrants. Equally important is the structure of the building itself, and in the case of large complexes, especially its facade.
The façade often determines whether a fire is contained or rapidly spreads to the next floor. In such situations, the ATF 50EI system proves indispensable, combining modern design with the highest level of fire protection. The fire-resistant façade created by Aluron is not a standard product, but an advanced structure designed for special tasks.
Energy-saving facade with increased fire resistance
For the investor, specific parameters are important. Fire-resistant facade ATF 50EI is based on proprietary, patented solutions, such as innovative Perlitherm fireproof inserts in a metal wrap, which increase the façade's stability and shorten installation time. Additionally, the system incorporates a special dual-function central seal with intumescent properties. This element serves both an insulating and fire-resistant function. This allows the structure to achieve fire resistance ratings of EI 30 and EI 60, and also enables the construction of skylights in REI 20 and REI 45 classes.
Importantly, the ATF 50EI façade offers not only safety but also excellent thermal insulation. The recessed glazing cups allow for a U-value of just 0.6 W/m²K. This parameter complies with the requirements for energy-efficient buildings, and in practice translates into lower heating and air conditioning costs.
Tightness and protection in all conditions
The façade must provide a barrier not only against fire but also against changing weather conditions. The ATF 50EI system guarantees a watertightness of RE 2400 Pa and an air permeability of AE 2400 Pa. This means complete resistance to wind, rainfall, and hail. The design includes two types of seals: block seals for vertical walls and sheathing seals for skylights. This sheathing seal maintains continuity even with differences in glazing units.
The system also increases the level of burglary protection. It is available in RC2 and RC3 classes thanks to the use of tempered glass units (up to 64 mm), special foils, and adhesive-sealing compounds at the glass-to-profile interface.
Modularity and aesthetics in the service of architecture
The ATF 50EI is a modular system, allowing it to be flexibly adapted to various installation scenarios. Three drainage levels make it easy to tailor the profiles to individual project requirements.
Visually, the design is identical to standard solutions. Profiles and seals can be flush-fitted on the inside, achieving a clean, minimalistic look. From the outside, the ATF 50EI façade is identical to the ATF 50 variant without the fire resistance rating. This allows for the aesthetic and technical seamless integration of both systems in a single facility.
Compatibility and universal use
252 / 5 000 The greatest strength of the ATF 50EI is its flexibility. The system can be integrated with the AS 75EI fire-rated door, which also performs well on escape routes. It's a perfect response to the needs of prefabrication and sustainable construction trends.
The ATF 50EI façade can be used anywhere safety and design are important, including public buildings, office buildings, shopping centers, schools, and airports. It's an ideal solution for architects and investors who don't want to compromise on aesthetics and compliance with stringent fire safety standards.
