Aluron has a new addition to its product range - the ready-to-install AS 75EI system fire-resistant arch structures.

The main purpose of this specialised solution is to provide resistance in the event of a fire igniting in the building. In addition, the curved structures of the AS 75EI system are aesthetically pleasing. They are ideally suited, for example, to projects in the trendy industrial style.

The traditional way of creating arches for fire structures.

The steps taken by most system suppliers to create arches for fire protection structures are limited to varnishing or anodising the profiles, bending them using specialised machinery, quality control and finishing. The product is then delivered to the customer. However, there is still a great deal of work to be done by manufacturers of fire protection structures to fit fire protection inserts inside the arch.

Up to now, the process of applying the fire protection inserts has consisted of cutting the plasterboard used for this purpose into small pieces and then forcibly pushing them into the chambers of the profile. The smaller the radius of the curve, the more short sections of the inserts have to be prepared and pushed in. Suffice it to say that this is an extremely tedious process taking up valuable time for the manufacturers.

Saving time fire protection arch structures from Aluron

In order to make things easier for its Partners, Aluron has introduced a novelty to its offer - fully prefabricated, ready-to-install fireproof arch structures. Where other manufacturers of aluminium systems end up, Aluron takes things further. The relevant chambers of the aluminium arch structures are poured with perlite concrete, which is used in the AS 75EI system to provide the necessary fire resistance. In this way, the system provider's customers from Zawiercie receive fire-resistant arches ready for installation. By saving the time needed for their prefabrication, they can fulfil a larger number of orders. Aluron offers its arches in fire resistance classes EI 30 and EI 60.

The process of placing traditional fire-rated plasterboard inserts inside door arches also raises the issue of dusting and creating a significant amount of waste. The solution introduced by Aluron eliminates these problems. It helps to keep the production halls clean and reduces the amount of dust persisting in the air, which is harmful to employees.

Ecology in the spotlight

As part of the AS 75EI fire protection system, Aluron uses proprietary, patented Perliterm fire protection inserts made from perlite - a natural rock formed by the hydration of cooling volcanic lava. In this way, modern technology makes use of a fully ecological natural raw material to increase the fire resistance of aluminium structures. Perliterm inserts not only provide an excellent barrier against fire, but also exhibit insulating properties.

The AS 75EI ready-to-install fire-resistant arch structures introduced by Aluron are a significant step forward for the construction industry. In addition to saving time and improving working conditions, the company is committed to safe, environmentally friendly solutions. This innovative approach by Aluron is sure to raise standards in fire safety in modern construction projects.
